Most of the reviews are also old.

Ampeg amps were made in China, Vietnam and now Korea. LOUD, which has had its executives replaced, is apparently trying to salvage Ampeg from the dreadful mismanagement of the past couple of years. Moving amp production from Vietnam to a high-quality Korean maker is the latest reorganizational move.

For the moment, we won't go into the absolutely atrocious build quality Ampegs often showed when they were being made at the SLM/Crate plant in the US.

The original B-200R had a notorious problem with a resonant vibration rattle. The very large number of the B-stocks everyone's been selling are apparently the ones that were exchanged on warranty and refurbed related to this problem. As far as I know, this was the only serious gripe that people had with them.

I have no idea where these particular new B-200R amps are from.
