I tthink I know what lick you mean....Im not sure of the key of the song, so Im going to describe it in A and you can go from there....I *think* its based on this:

Play an A7 at the 9th fret (D7 Shape)..With your pinky hammer on from the G to the A (8 fret to 10th fret) in the B string..pull off, repeat in the "bump bah de dah bump bump da dee dah"...where the bah and dahs are pull offs...

An alternate fingering ...in D: index finger on fret 5 barring top 3 strings..ring fingeron 7th fret of the B string..with your middle finger, hammer on and pull off on the7th fret of the G string...

These are likely both simplifications..the rhythm may also be slightly different but this should give you the idea...sometime, with the A figure described above Ill chime the low and and let it ring while Im doing the hammer ons and pull offs...or the open D in the second example. It takes a bit of practice to get the lick to go smoothy and have that steel vibe...it is a fairly common country lead-rhythm pattern...the backup for that song..the string and keys play a variation on this move pretty much all thru the song...
