My guess, with absolutely no inside info, is that Paul C has sold a bunch of Timmys thanks to this controversy. The folks who want a Timmy and can afford it will still convince themselves that it sounds better than the Dano (I haven't played both, so I'll stay out of that one...) and shell out the money, those who cannot afford the Timmy will get the Dano, and a whole bunch of folks who hadn't even heard of the Timmy now have it on their radar as a pedal worth cloning. Everybody wins.
