We had a big thread about this some time ago. Danolectro has agreed to make some changes and the new version will be shipping soon (if it isn't already). The new version will have an internal switch that will change the clipping pattern (or some s*** like that).
Also, the Danelctro Cool Cat Drive is said to be a knock off of the Fulltone OCD. That Dano pedal is only 25 bucks.
For the record, I have both and I really like the Transparent Overdrive with my solid state Peavey Bandit. Both pedals have tons of gain on hand.
