I'm not a bass player by any stretch of the imagination, but have owned several nice basses and a few rigs. I've still got my G-K Backline 2x10 combo. My bass player uses it for rehearsal, and everything he plays thru it sounds great! It's a kickin' little combo, and if you add a 1x15 to the bottom of it, makes such a sweet sounding rig.
I have to say that the only thing he's owned that sounded a wee bit better was one of the Acoustic stacks= 200 watt head, 1x15 + 4x10 cabs. That was one of the nicest, punchiest sounding rigs he has owned. Don't know why he keeps trading around? He's worse than I am about Teles!! LOL
