I know I didn't write what I wanted to say but actually I meant walk away and let the lawyers handle it.
Any other action would just bring you down to her level and then things will probably escalate, then what will she do? It's not worth it in the long run when two people will end up destroying themselves to spite each other. Better to make the split as fast and clean as possible (however painful) then get on with your life.
I agree that selling this stuff was a very cold thing to do. I agree that this would be really upsetting but it looks to me like the gear might be gone for good (it's communal property, etc.). Better to walk away, leave it to the lawyers and try to rebuild your life ASAP.
