Thanks, Jim-I'll check out the Wampler for sure!

I'm always leery of the ultra-modern, tons-of-bells-and-whistles approach, too, and thought it was telling that there isn't a comprehensive product video up on youtube-
some guy giving a 60 second demonstration of the extreme settings is not my idea of an adequate demo. That high tech stuff never seems to do right by me-I bought one of those E-H Delay pedals last spring-the new, blue ones with Hazerai, or whatever-what a piece of junk-blend control went within days, and the thing just didn't sound that good. I'm going to get a Carbon copy and go back to stenciling in my presets using whiteout!

My favorite player down here, Bryan Ewald, uses a Tone Press with spectacular results-I think I'll hit him up for advice on settings and pick one up-I just want to make sure the blend control doesn't mean I won't be able to get enough squash, as I'll need it for the Knopfler thing...
