Well I'm nobody to put forth an opinion based on my crappy little computer speakers but I like it.
I think you are right about pulling the guitar down some if you plan to add lyrics. Personally I could think of all kinds of lyrics to put on top of that music.
Of course, I've been on a Tom Petty kick lately so it sounds like that in my head.
