It's all about which pickups and body colors you prefer. I chose the 60's classic Vibe Strat because I liked the pickups' sound and I like a 3-tone sunburst and I don't mind a rosewood neck.

I dropped in one of these (easy as cake):

...and I could not be happier! The extra parts (saddles, springs, trem-arm) will come in handy in my shop someday. My USA Strat went bye-bye on craigslist yesterday. I am a Squier Man now
