I prefer the the neck plate activated g bender versus the rear pin because pulling back on the neck while playing is not as comfortable for me. I can roll the guitar all in one motion and still be able to move my fretting hand quickly.

For any ancilliary pull I like the neckplate actuation too, though I prefer a "Lever" at the neck plate over a lanyard....much easier to use and also, for me anyway...preferable to any of the rear end pin actuating methods. A slight pull rearward is all it takes.
