OK Joey, you said you'd get a custom neck with binding. So my question is, would you have the frets go over the binding?

I love the look of binding, but on Gibsons at least, the frets only go up to the binding, and the binding is cut to the shape of the frets. That looks really nice, but you miss about an 1/16 inch of fret on each side of the fretboard. If I ever had this kind of guitar refretted, I'd have the frets overlap the binding. Get more usable fret that way.

Something to think about if you custom order.
