I've played tube amps for 40 years, but these are the SS amps that I thought sounded good, and that I'll always keep:

Vox Pathfinder 15R
Orange Crush 30R
Peavey Studio Pro
Fender Roc Pro 1000

I find that it's easier to control my volume with a SS amp. You can dial back a master volume tube amp, but you seem to loose more of the tone than you do with a SS amp.
