Yes, there are some wonderful solid state amps out there that have not yet been mentioned in this thread. The ones I'm thinking of have been discontinued, but I'm not going to say what they are. The diehard tube snobs won't believe me, and for you open-minded people, I don't want anyone else hoarding them until I have a few more...
