I've always loved Chet Atkins, but a few years ago I gained back all the weight I lost on that diet of his.
A couple years ago I met the 300 mark, and my boss, who'd obviously dropped significant weight, told me his secret: 1500 calories a day. I did it, writing down numbers and ingredients for each meal, and not eating between meals. It worked well, and I dropped into the 240s.
You can't live on 1500 calories forever, and I can't keep up the regimen forever, either, having the attention span of a hummingbird with rabies. I try to hold it around 2000 a day now, without formally counting, and I'm still hanging around 260, but I'd better start paying attention again.
I know this is a lifetime battle for me. Thanks for the challenge: I'm in.
