I had the Pod first but I heard so many good things about the Vox that I got one of those too. I had a chance to A/B the two of them & the Vox had the warmth and more natural sound that I was looking for.
In addition, the Vox was easier to set up to sound good thru the mixing board. And the Vox was easier to tweak it's sounds with the analog knobs.
I never had any reliability issues with either one, but my three gripes that I had about the Pod were answered with the Vox.
