Good Gawd! The same thing happened to me on the weekend. In fact, it has happened to me so many times that I've developed a pretty decent "drunk radar".

On Saturday, my radar was working and I saw the kid coming just in time. I got my elbow up in time to deflect him a bit. He only hit the corner of my pedalboard (and turned on one of my delays). Normally, this would be when the drunk got a couple of good shots in the head from an angry guitar player. But he hit his head on the floor and knocked himself out cold. I would have been wasting my time (and hurting my hands )

So at this time, would like to pass along a public service announcement to all who frequent clubs, honky tonks, dance halls etc., and who like to imbibe a few cold ones: If you're having difficulty walking, then don't venture anywhere near the stage. Speaking for myself and my fellow bandmates, we enjoy playing for all people (probably more than you'll ever know), but we can't help but cringe when we see some drunk staggering dangerously close to the stage (and our gear).

Later...
