Not at all, it went really smoothly. There's some foamy stuff on the base of the neck pickup which I tore off and kept aside, the jumper on the ground is really obvious, so there's nothing to worry about in terms of cutting the wrong thing, and adding the 2nd ground wire was pretty easy too. And I'm not soldering pro either.
Here's the weird thing. In all honesty, my guitar is quieter now than it was before. I don't know how, or why, and I don't really care either, but it sounds great and hums a little bit less I find.
