I remember before the 91 freeyway was there. If you needed to go to Riverside you just got on the Santa Ana Canyon road and you were there in a short time, 15- 20 minuets tops. Today its a nightmare. If I need to go out there I will only go on a weekday and wait till about 10 in the morning to leave and try to be back before 3 . Caltrans and all the political rangling has made that highway an awful mess. Get rid of the express lane and widen the freeway although I don't really think anything can fix it. It was a bad design when it was originally built and has only been bandaided ever since.
