Riverside 91 fwy (Calif) woes!
I tried to see my folks for Xmas - turned around after 2 hours - usually its 45min all the way there.
this has happened before - the 91 is the worst! - I think that the "fast Track" express lanes made things allot worse - it just dumps the whole world ahead of other cars and the other lanes just crawl at 1 to 5 miles a hour with the annoying bobbing head _neck pain_ from braking so much! -
I had to pee after 2 hours - so I pulled off where there was a Mc Donalds and a few others - ALL were closed - I was forced try to pee in a plastic bottle while inside my car - ended up missing the bottle a little and wetting my self! - Sucked! -
I still had 30 miles left to go to get there - when I returned to the On - Off Ramps the East Bound was a parking lot - the West bound was full speed -
I hit the road home -
I used to own a Sail boat - so I know when I travel from 1-5 miles a hour and have 30 miles to go I may be out to sea for 6 to 15 hours -
I have a bad neck to start with and I always avoid ridding as a passenger at all times - because i like to be the one on the brakes so I do not excite my messed up neck - so my neck pain today reach a 10 on a scale of 1-to- 10 - despite the fact I was the one on the brakes! because of constant 2 hours of moving 100 feet at a time then hit the brakes!
Now theres talk about putting these express lanes into use on all the Los Angeles bound Fwys,,, Well--they may as well just install road blocks.. because thats whats going to happen ... I don't know who sells us down the river with these "express roads" but it needs to stop.. before the whole world is forced on to alternate routes - BTW the 91 Fwy has no real alternate routes or side streets to Riverside Ca from Long Beach.. its hill country -
well I'm home - been alone all day "Christmas" just venting here I guess??
Sad day - I did not need this - I'm pretty depressed to start with and I'm not on meds - but really-really need to be.. shoot! feeling sucky!
