"Sam's Place" is another simple octave jump based off the Don's heavily used derivative of the Pentatonic Scale.
---5-------5-5-5---------10--------10-10-10-------------
-----5-8h--------5-8h------10-13h-----------10-13h-----
-----------------------------------------------------------
------------------------0----------------------------------
-0---------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
----------2-0---------------------------------------------
-2-2-0-2-----2-0-----------------------------------------
-------------------3b-0-----------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
Oh course, one of the two was playing harmony on this one, but you get the point. Also that last lick is a very common pentatonic walkdown Don used in A so learn it!
