Food for thought:

The Buckaroos rarely practiced. Don was very much against anything canned and believe in spontaneity and improvisation at all turns. If we could hear us gig two nights in a road, we wouldn't play the solos all the same. Neither did Don. One of the first Buck Owens Ranch Shows was recorded about a week before the Carnegie Hall Concert. Don plays the solos similarly, but does nothing the same, and they are quite different from the record. A good case for this is Love's Gonna Live. Completely different from the original and the Ranch and Concert recordings a slightly different.

Don had the core set of licks and played the Pentatonic Scale like no country guitar played before or since. I guess it's the job of this thread to familiarize ourselves with these licks.
