I have no idea what "Joe Would Say". I take the guitar as a guitar, not a philosophy. From the couple I've seen, looks like a belt sander and a matte poly finish to hold it all in place.

I enjoyed the feel of the guitar and preferred the look of the Strummer Tele to the jelly beam colored guitars next to it for sale at GC. I've seen them used from $550 to $700, seems like a good deal to me.
