I say there is no better. both have +'s and -'s to me.

I spent quite some time playing with a 2x10 and adding a 1x12 extension and really liked it alot. Speaker choice took a while to find though, but when you find it, it's great - but 2 cabs is a pain to lug around.

Simple observation can be - 10s lacked the lower end a 12 can bring, while the 12 didn't have the 10s punchiness I like. Put them together and they complimented each other really well for my tastes.

With that being that - I'm back to a 2x12 these days.
