rul8agn, that's the straightest-grained '52 Tele I've ever seen! Very interesting and very unique. Almost looks like a pine grain.
I keep seeing folks talk about a U neck on post-1999 '52s, but mine (Oct 2001) is a soft V. Perfectly sized IMHO. Not too big, not too small, and fits very well in my hand. A JV Strat is a bit fatter than my neck btw, and I love those necks as well. Mine's about 7.25 lbs, and acoustically resonant as heck. #44080
