What is becoming my principle bass is a Hohner Professional PJ fretless( I think). I picked up on ebak a couple of years ago for £56 and it was in a bit of a sad state. I finally got round to looking at it, re-strung, lots of switch lube to free the pots (one was completely seized!) I have repacked the J pickup because it was acting like a microphone and picking up every touch on the body, seems OK but I won't be using the big amp 'till next week to find out. I think I am going to replace the wiring completely, possibly fit a blend knob. One thing I seem to only have one wire going to the J pickup, all the ones I look at seem to have 2, there doesn't appear to be a route for the 2nd wire to the knob, and as this pickup isn't behind a guard putting one in could be a challenge.
