You're thinking of Andy Blake, aka The Pickup Wizard based in Wales.
This months Guitar Buyer magazine features the guy behind Bare Knuckle Pickups, Tim Mills. He played guitar in Elkie Brooks's band and now plays in the Ozzy Osbourne tribute band Ozzmosis.
The mag is worth a buy for the article on Bare Knuckle Pickups as well as a copy of specialist Tele clones by James Trussart. Have a look at
