Seems like most remember them fondly as first guitars. My first electric was Hondo II Les Paul-knockoff. No binding, so it kind of looked like a Les Paul Studio. It was a deep mahogany or cherry finish. My mom bought it for me -- most likely very cheaply --- off some guy when I was probably 12 or 13. It was a perfectly serviceable first guitar, and one I'm glad I had the opportunity to own.
It got traded in for an Ibanez Roadstar, which I still own and play occasionally. Another fine, but underrated guitar.
