New here, and first post. I have been a worship leader and children's pastor for years, and have played Strats, Teles, Les Pauls (gasp!), a 335 copy and various and sundry acoustics. The Teles are always some of my favorites tone-wise. I have never had complaints from congregation members regarding the electrics, usually only comments about "now when did you get THAT one!?" The most compliments I've had were about a home-grown "stealth" Esquire I whipped up recently: Black on black with cream binding and a maple neck with a neck p'up hidden under the pickguard.
