for cleaner stuff i would probably say a full-sounding newer style wah like a clyde deluxe or one of the modern style teese wahs or a budda...

i personally like a wah with some drive after it so i really dig my '66 "top badge" crybaby. if i were shopping for one with that type of sound i'd say search ebay for "jen wah" and buy one that's in good shape and put a true bypass switch in it. shouldn't cost any more than the modern stuff and you would have the sound most of those modern companies are trying to copy anyway
