Ryan Adams is unevenly brilliant and indeed prolific. I've seen him be a total ass and then turn around and be the closest thing to a new Dylan.

"Heartbreaker" absolutely rocks, with the fabulous David Rawlings (Gillian Welch's partner) producing. Highly recommended. "Cold Roses" exudes an early '70s Dead vibe, and has been a sleeper in my collection that I keep coming back to.

His newest stuff shows growth, it seems he is becoming more mature. More power to him, I love songwriters who take chances like he does!

Oh, and bless Gram Parsons, wherever his soul might be.
