After allowing the lacquer to dry for a few hours, it’s time to get the scraper out…

First when removing masking tape, be careful to pull the tape away from the fresh paint, this will reduce the chance of the tale grabbing the mew finish and tearing the edge.



For the scraper, you can buy ‘em, expensive little buggers that they are, or you can make them from the junk in that drawer over there. The photo should be self explanatory.



The blade is any piece of hardened steel, here I have used an old saber saw blade, and re ground it, to produce the edge.





now I’m ready to clean it up….
