It's killer for any type of high-gain application, but there's not a lot of clean headroom to be had... It's loud as hell, too.... I'm considering pulling it apart and turning it into a head, and then building a 4x12 closed-back cab to go with it. That'd be some fun!

What's everyone doing with their Triple Xes that they have trouble getting a good clean sound out of 'em? They are one of my favorite amps for a clean Tele sound, especially through a 5150 412 cab or a Classic 412 cab. The only reason I don't have one yet is money. Wonder if it's the speakers or the tubes they come with lately?
