That is a seriously cool Telecaster. I wish we could find stuff like that here in the UK. All of my 'cool' guitars have had to come via US-ebay.
Our pawn shop fodder tends to be at best dodgy old Burns guitars and at worst nasty old 1970s Japanese rubbish that is best used as kindling.
I'd gig that as is - or maybe with a SD Broadcaster in the bridge.
