The truck drivers in New Zealand (a very hilly and windy-road place) signal that it's safe to pass with a quick indicator blink - they can see far further ahead. And car drivers usually give a little "beep beep" like Roadrunner to say thanks. Sometimes if you're really lucky, you'll get a "no worries!" back from the truckie in the form of a HOOONNNK! I like that. It's rare these days (except for motorcyclists) to see much solidarity.

There's so much anger and impatience on the roads nowadays (I believe it's a result of society's personal debt levels, but that's not the subject) but when __it happens people come together, always and help. If only we could connect the impatience and the rage with the pain and the heartache and the handful of minutes saved by rushing.
