I grew up with David Gates and Bread. Those songs, those arrangements, what's not to love? "If", "Diary", Guitar Man", Everything I Own", "Make It With You", "It Don't Matter To Me", "Down On My Knees", "Baby I'm-A Want You", "Aubrey", "Sweet Surrender", "Daughter", "The Last Time" - it takes a novelist many more words to rip your heart and guts out than these guys did within the span of a three minute song. And yeah, "Mother Freedom" rocks.
Sue me, this is syrup rock at it's absolute finest.

Another matter entirely, and well you should. No kidding, up until about a year ago, I worked with a drummer who still wore those stupid looking "artwork-displaying" shorts and the knee-high socks with the yellow stripes, just like when we were in high school. It didn't matter to him whether it was a club date or a concert venue. He didn't realize that it was embarrassing, so I never found need to call him out on it. But, gee whiz, get a clue, buy some taste. Anyway, past tense, thanks.
