I've played three of those sunburst CP 60's MIM Strats. The polyester appears to me to be fairly thick, although it is possible the MIM Standards get the crummier bodies with the real thick finishes.
I still prefer the Classic 60's to the Classic Player 60's. Unless you found an early CP 60's with all the boutique parts on it.
