I've been a fan of The Dead since 1966 and have seen them since 1969. I have never seen Jerry with a Tele. Which surprises me considering how big a fan he was of Don Rich and Roy Buchannon. He seemed happier with a Strat (which is what I consider the guitar he used for some of his best playing). The natural Strat that Jerry played was a present from Graham Nash.
