The show I saw was at the Civic Center in Oklahoma City, also with Mahavishnu Orchestra opening. I don't remember if they encored together; guess my junior mind was blown. That was the first time that my ears were ringing and it wasn't the 4th of July.
I'm especially curious what he was using on "She's a Woman." Pretty sure it's the Les Paul, but it could be a Strat, esp. that section where he flips over to the bridge pickup. I have a live vinyl recording from around the time of that tour and the version of "AIR Blower" is way faster than the studio version. Intense.
