Hey guys!
funny story of how i got my tele!
i started playing electric guitars first when i arrived in Perth Christian Life Centre. ever since i loved the sound of humbuckers instead of single coil pups.
but as the days became months and soon years, my craving for my own type of sound grew. so i went in search for a humbucker type guitar and found a Gibson B.B. King Lucille locally.
that guitar is a lovely guitar, but wasn't rocky/punkish/fun enough to be playing with, plus also the guitar is so heavy i couldn't really keep it on my neck for long.
my pastor (who has an awesome 1989 Black Maple Neck Strat) loves jamming with that guitar of his during my work breaks... and ebays all these fenders. that one day...
i felt the need to get a single coil guitar... or mainly a FENDER.
so i went in search of a tele, as our church has like a "guitar community" sharing thing going...
just so happens my DAD&MUM was in the Las Vegas, USA, so i told them i want a TELE, DAD calls me up in the middle of the nite to ask which one i wanted... told them only the ButterScotch blonde types or natural wood grain finish.. or nothing...
but then the worst happened.. he got cUT-oFF when he entered the "Special" Rooms... so there i was in my bed.. hoping and praying that i would get someone nice... i went on the internet, did my 1hr research and somehow came across YOU GUYS ON THE TELECASTER FORUMS!!!
then an email came..
My DAD GOT THE Vintage Hot Rod '52 Telecaster®
and carried it all the way back to Perth from USA...
i love them!
and i love my guitar.
hope the story didn't bored u.. but i think i fell in love with my tele... it's beautiful/gorgeous/stunning... and the sounds.. even from the mini-hums they still sound twangy... but with warmth...
thanks for enduring up with me...
now for stomp boxed forums...
