This thread inspired me to build a strat using a Bullet neck I've had laying around.
My guitar building from parts works on the CIRCLE OF LIFE system.
I first bought the Bullet to use the neck for a hardtail strat because I was never happy with my Warmoth neck (which I origianlly bought for a trem strat but the body sucked and it's still in my garage and I use it for testing paint)
I eventually made a hardtail strat using a MIM Robert Cray body and neck (sweet neck!) so I didn't really need another hardtail.
I used the old hardtail body to make a Tom Delonge style strat for a guy at the office but of course he wanted the '70 style headstock so I bought a Squier Standard to use the neck. That left me with a brand new Squier body and electronics which I didn't really like (supposed to be sunburst but WAY too red.)
I didn't really want to use the Bullet neck on this one because I liked the Bullet neck and thought I might use it for an inexpensive build for my nephew. So I bought a Jay Turser strat on ebay and put that neck on the Squier Standard body and sold it to a friend of a friend.
The Jay Turser body turned out to look pretty good but I hadn't done anything with it until this thread reminded me how good my Bullet neck was so I finally pieced it together using some GFS pickups for a great little guitar that will probably end up with my nephew. Thus completing the Circle of Life.
I've got a similar Cycle going with my teles. Recently bought a Squire Standard for the neck and now I'm left with a brand new good looking body with an affinity neck on that is just screaming for a different neck...
