It's a maple fingerboard
It's the upgraded '70s version
The flat wounds were 11's, the current strings are 11's, I didn't want to wait on a setup, so I just did a 1 for 1 swap on the strings. My other guitars sport 10's.
I am guessing this is a 2006, since it has the little medallion on the back. I am still getting used to the Greasebucket tone control thing. My other Fender is a Clapton with Lace Sensors, so this Tele is a step outside of what I am used to.
I guess if I want to continue my thoughts on the nuts and bolts, or magnets and volts (

I'm here all week!), I should start a thread in the Tech forum.
