so im putting together this guitar and I dont want to mention the pickup maker at this point, but they are hand made, expensive, you get the point...

anyway, after fighting with the neck pickup to fit it in the cavity, i go to screw it into the pickguard and one of the holes through the plastic baseplate is completely stripped. the screw just slides freely in and out.

any ideas as to how i might fix this? i need to not only secure the pickup to the pickguard, but it also must be height adjustable (as it it is supposed to be), so i cant just fix it with a nut on the bottom.
