Now, I'm looking for more of a low output type sound, playing alot of full chords with a little overdrive, 60% clean mix with 40% overdrive mix from a Sparkle Drive. My hotrail type pups are just too over the top!

Was wondering if it would be better to put the original pickups back in the tele or should I start looking at some type of DiMarzio or Seymour? I don't have the $$$ to drop on a set of custom wound.

Mods, move this to the Pickup forum if it would be better to be there. I wasn't sure where to put this post.
What GFS hotrails did you put in? I have a set of vintage moderns on order that are supposed to be shipped in a couple of weeks.
