Oh yeah, I'd definitely say the Nashville pedal is edgier. It doesn't have the mid peak and compression of the Tube Screamer series and the use of LEDs for clipping makes for a high headroom that brings out the transients I associate with Telecasters.

The Austin is more in the range of an overdrive I'd associate with Blues tones: Warmer, more compressed, smoother, uses a pair of 1N4148s for clipping. More bass than a Tube Screamer. The "Austin" name ought to be a dead giveaway.

It doesn't go into fuzz territory. The Tone control seems to have a bit more range than most, so if someone were to want a grittier high end, that's doable.

I'd imagine that any Country guy would like it, especially paired with a Nashville as it has a contrasting overdrive timbre. If a guy had both and a nice compressor on their pedalboard, I'd say they were set... :)
