If you haven't tried it yet, you should- I think the Weld-On 16 works waaaay better than CA for binding. It actually "melts into the binding, and it won't let go.

Then there's the heat thing for shaping the binding. I do this, and it only takes about 10 strategically placed pieces of masking tape to hold the binding while the glue sets. I glue up a section at a time, and some areas only require you to hold it with your fingers for a couple minutes, then move on.

Way less messy and less messy at scraping time too. I used this method (Weld-On) first, tried one with CA, and now back to Weld-On. For me at least it's a far easier way to glue binding.
