Nothing screams Rock N roll like making the best of a bad situation. Like the Dutch band Doe Maar did when they headlined the Pinkpop musicfestival in 1983. A couple of hooligans began to throw apples at them, hitting Bassplayer/Leadsinger Henny Vrienten in the face and leaving the stage littered with fruit. Vrienten saw the humorous side of it and proclaimed:
"Boy we have enough here to stack a fruit store, would anyone like an apple?"
Nothing sreams Rock N roll like Neil Young's "Journey through the past" tour of 1972, where he played the entire album which hadn't come out yet, so the audience didn't know the songs at all. Young proclaimed:
"If you can sit through this at the end I'll play songs you know."
...and proceeded to play the "Journey through the past" album once again.
