Just a bone stock MIM Tele I relic'd for someone. The thing with relicing, IMO, is to go one of two ways...and either way can be a challenge... 1) light, understated relicing, that looks like it's been played but not abused, and 2) Thoroughly abused, thrashed, trashed, and beaten. The "in betweens" just don't seem to work. I've found something out as well: Beginning players tend to like guitars that are in the "abused" category...completely trashed, rusty hardware, over the top relicing. Players that have been at it a while tend to like the understated or "loved but played" look. Of course there are some exceptions to that, but thats what I've generally found.
