I will say this before learning anymore about your '58, you can never go wrong getting a reputable dealer's letter of appraisal on the guitar. It helps ensure the guitar is what it is claimed to be. That's an important factor for most buyers, of course. And in alot of cases will net you more interest from prospective buyers, and possibly a higher selling price.
