I'm sure they could have handled it better too. As a manager of a retail store, whenever a cashier is having trouble, computer or human, and there's people in line, I apologize to those in line.
You're right. I have no idea about your life. But if you can't wait, then don't wait. They have every right now wanting you to leave with their product without it being rang up. There are inventory issues.
Yes, I see people at gas stations just lay their money down and walk out, but you weren't at a gas station.
