The catalog I have says "Fender Guitars and Basses - Volume 49, Number 1" on it, and "copyright 1995" on the back cover. For the "Standard" Tele (MIM, I assume) it lists available colors as Black, Crimson Red Metallic, Brown Sunburst, Arctic White, and......Lake Placid Blue
And I have to say that the Tele in your picture looks closer to the LPB chip in my printed catalog than your Strat does! Maybe LPB changed over the years?
The AmStd Tele of that year came in Black, Lipstick Red, Crimson Burst, Brown Sunburst, Vintage White and Arctic White.
There again I'm not sure that Fender catalogs are 100% reliable, but that's what it says. The only other solid blues in the catalog are Sonic and Electric; the first is too light, and the second too dark. There was a Teal Green Metallic used on some of the Artist's Signature line, but that is much more green.
Or, as Boris says, maybe it was a FSR?
